There have been occasions that I have felt guilty for putting my young daughter in front of the TV so that I could conduct some important aspect of my home business. I worried that TV would harm her. Well, today I was reassured that all that TV is paying off. See, I knew it would one day.
Today while playing Candy Land, she imparted some of her wisdom to me as I was kicked back to the beginning by the candy cane card. She told me “Don’t worry Mom, it’s okay, keep going. If you can dream it, you can achieve it!”
Imagine the pride I felt. I thought “I am doing such an amazing job of raising her. Look how she is picking up from me all the wisdom I am acquiring from my self development books and audios. She must be listening and taking it all in in the background.”
Although I assumed she got this wonderful and mature insight from me, she tells me otherwise. She says she learned it from Hip Hop Harry.
I say, “What?!”
Not Carl Sandburg when he said, “Nothing happens unless first a dream.”
Not Malcolm Forbes when he said, “When you cease to dream you cease to live.”
Not Walt Disney when he said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
But Hip Hop Harry? Really. Hip Hop Harry gives THAT kind of insight.
So from now on Hip Hop Harry is mandatory training for all my team members, new and old. You must immerse yourself into watching Hip Hop Harry. Pick up the pearls of wisdom he sings about and embed them into your own belief system.
My daughter then said to me, “You know what I dream about when I grow up, besides being the President … that is still an option. I want to be a song writer.” So I hope she writes about dreaming and achieving!
Now, if you have NO idea who Hip Hop Harry is — check this out so you get familiar with the one who inspires my 6 year old daughter.
